Best Answer

Yes, if the ball hits the net on the serve and then bounces in, it is let. This means the point will be replayed. There can be infinite lets in a row. Also, if there is an interruption, such as a ball bouncing on the court, a let will be played.

Can you play table tennis double with Wii remote?

It is possible to play WiiSports tennis with a remote, but I don't think that the table tennis on WiiPlay or WiiSports Resort allows doubles table tennis to be played. There may, however, be other games which do.

Who founded table tennis?

The game of table tennis has its roots in lawn tennis. When lawn tennis became very popular in the 1870s & 1880s, game makers tried to emulate its success by developing indoor versions of the game. So there were card games, board & dice games, rackets & balloon games and even tiddledy winks tennis games. But the first use of the name Table Tennis occurred on a board and dice game by J.H.Singer of New York around 1884 and it's also known that a game of Table Tennis was offered in the 1887 game catalogue of George S. Parker, founder of the famed Parker Brothers in America. But the first action game of tennis on a table was in 1890, so it was David Foster of England who is the founder/inventor of table tennis in 1890.

How are table tennis and tennis alike and different?

table tennis is obviously played on a table and tennis is not. they have some of the same rules, but tennis has tramlines, so, in other words, table tennis' court doesnt change from doubles and singles and the singles does. also the scoring is different. table tennis is frist to 21 points and tennis it is first to 6 games. they are alike as they are both played with a raquet and a ball that you can hit before the bounce or after the bounce but 2 bounces and you have lost the point. they both use points in scoring but differently. both great games to play and good for fitness
