Freemasons believe in a higher power and the importance of morality, charity, and self-improvement. They value brotherhood, community service, and the pursuit of knowledge and wisdom. Freemasonry is a fraternal organization that aims to make good men better through shared rituals, symbolism, and teachings.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the "Mormon" church) currently has no official policies regarding Freemasons or Freemasonry. Mormons are allowed to be Freemasons and Freemasons are allowed to be Mormons, but Mormon Freemasons are asked to put their religious obligations ahead of their obligations to Freemasonry. For a short period of time, this was not the case, and Mormons were asked to avoid joining the Freemasons and other fraternal organizations.
There are no religious beliefs associated with Freemasonry beyond the requirement that all members believe in a supreme being. Thus, it is up to the individual mason to decide his beliefs about Jesus. No doubt many Masons believe in Christ's Holy Spirit, since the majority of Masons profess themselves to be Christians.
