Yes. Sometimes they do. What happens after that is up to the referee. Swearing at the referee is a form of dissent or of unsporting conduct (what used to be ungentlemanly conduct). And either is cautionable. It is not a good reason to get a yellow card. Pick a better reason to earn the booking if you really must have it.
