It is arguable that they do get too much and it is horrendous how much they get paid for what they do compared to say soldiers. But £120,000+ a week is what a professional footballer gets and the pay is increasing not decreasing. The pay is a reflection of the clubs income from TV rights and gate receipts, just like any company employee gets paid in reflection of their efforts for the company.
