No. He went to work for Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance and in 1992 opened his own brokerage before merging it into another company, Risk-Strategies.

Yes. In fact, I collected on a Permanent & Total Disability Policy underwritten by Loyds of London and I never went to work for NML, although the agent who sold me the policy was an NML agent and later became a sports agent, his name is Alan Nero.
