Yes. On May 23, 2010, Richard Petty was part of the first class inducted into the Nascar Hall of Fame. He was also awarded the Medal of Freedom by President George Bush in 1992, becoming the first motorsports athlete to receive this award. Other inductions include the International Motorsports Hall of Fame and the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America.
