Someone should write a song about him" Teresa started singing her friend chimed in and they had a few bars written. Mickey Mantle was born in Spavinaw, Oklahoma on October 20, 1931. By 1935, his family moved to Commerce, Oklahoma. He was born in a two room unpainted house at the edge of the above mentioned town. There were no streets at all leading to this home.
For some reason I believe it was Mickey Mantle. But not certain. Lots of players hit home runs out of the ball park, especially now with the smaller parks. Barry Bonds and others have hit several balls out of the Giants park and into McCovey bay. Balls fly out of the Pirates stadium and into the river quite often, too.
South Park co-creator Trey Parker voiced Mickey in the episode, "The Ring".
