No he did not. Lenin was dedicated to turning Russia from a capitalist country into a socialist country. Communism would come later as a result of the natural forces of society. Lenin wanted all industry and land to be owned by a strong central government rather than in the hands of individual owners.

No, he did not. Lenin wanted the means of production controlled by the government as long as the government was controlled by him and the Bolshevik Party.

Lenin knew that the workers of Russia had not yet evolved into a true proletariat as Marx defined it, therefore allowing them to control the means of production would result in chaos or even a return to capitalism entirely.

What was Lenin theory of imperialism?

"If it was necessary to give the briefest possible definition of imperialism, we should have to say that imperialism is the monopoly stage of capitalism," Lenin wrote. So as competition on the national level was reduced through mergers, bankruptcies and the tendency toward monopoly, it became increasingly ferocious internationally. Business required the organized power and resources of the state to secure their interests.

Did Lenin oppose the idea of a tightly knit party to lead the revolution in Russia?

No, that was one of the concepts that he advocated so strongly that it led to the split in the Russian Social Democratic Labor Party into the Mensheviks and Bolsheviks. According to Marxist thought, the proletarian revolution would come about when millions of workers united and seized control of the means of production. Lenin felt that revolution should be by a small group of professional revolutionaries. Lenin wanted the revolutionary group kept to a minimum so that counter revolutionaries would not be able to infiltrate the organization to undermine its revolutionary activities.

How did World War 1 create a new optimism for Lenin's ideas on International socialism?

Vladamir Lenin was clearly disappointed that World War 1 did not produce a workers' revolution in an economically advanced nation like Great Britain. And, the fact that in January of 1918, Germany was able to press him into signing the hated Brest-Litovsk Treaty, was costly for Russia. On the other hand, the imperialism of the Great Powers, had centralized their economic power more in the hands of the state as never before seen. Lenin took the position that monopoly capitalism made it easier for revolutionaries to expropriate the means of production. Instead of a scattered control of economies, the world powers, due to the necessities of the war, created an easier path for workers to control the means of production.

What communist idea did Vladimir Lenin take from Karl marx?

Lenin took the idea that the upper class, the bourgeoisie, should not own the means of production; that when capitalism died out an era of socialism would come about with the state owning the means of production; that the working class, the proletariat, would overthrow the ruling bourgeoisie and that eventually the socialistic state would evolve into a communist system. The great difference between them was that where Marx believed economic change caused political change, Lenin believed political change was necessary to effect economic change. In this regard one could say Lenin was simply not as patient as Marx, so he, Lenin, fomented a political revolution which then forced the economic change.
