No, far from it in fact. To his later embarrassment, Stalin had no active role in the actual Bolshevik Revolution on October 25-26, 1917. While other Bolsheviks had been assigned specific tasks to accomplish, Stalin was not included. He later rewrote some of the history to include himself.
