Larisa Ilchenko is a swimmer from Russia who won the first ever 10 kilometer event competed at the Olympic Games in 2008. She has also won gold medals in the World Championships in 2005 and 2007. In 2005, she won gold in the 5 kilometer open water swim and in 2007, she won gold in the 5 kilometer open water swim and the 10 kilometer open water swim. She currently is 19 years old and will probably be around a long time and win a lot more gold medals.
