Of cause. Mickey Mantle signed Autographs throughout his career. During the late 1980's, when the "Baseball Memorabilia boom" started, Mickey often signed at autograph shows for the price of $15.00 !! Mickey Mantle signed very few Gene Budig baseballs which came into use in 1995, the year Mantle died. He was also very ill that year and didn't sign often. Although it is possible to have one it is unlikely, and should at least send up a red flag.

The men in Mickey's family lived short lives. Mickey's Father died at the age of 39, and Mantle thought his faith would be as such. Later in his life Mickey was quoted as saying that if he knew he would live this long he would have taken better care of himself. At a press conference Mickey noted that many fans had looked to him as a role model; "This is a role model: Don't be like me".
