It is not one of the easiest repairs. The factory uses rivets instead of screws so that the the average person would have to take it back to the dealer to have it repaired. They do not make a lot of profit when they sell you the car but they are hoping to make a little each time you bring it back for repairs. You can force the center of the rivets out then drill the heads off but you will have to have bolts, nuts and lockwashers to reinstall the motors/regulators.

Where is the voltage regulator on the 2001 Saturn SC2?

The voltage regulator on alternators of almost all modern vehicles (including all Saturn's), is INSIDE the alternator. When rebuilding an alternator it is relatively simple to replace the regulator at the same time you replace brushes, bearings and other components, but if you haven't done it before and don't have someone knowledgeable to guide you through the process, don't try to rebuild an alternator yourself.

How do you replace a window regulator in Ford Falcon?

To replace the window regulator in a ford falcon depends on the model, however the process is fairly similar. 1. Remove door trim (there should be some screws along the outside edges and behind the door handle) 2. Tape the door glass to the door or have someone hold it up as the next step will let it go. 3. Remove the two bolts that attach the door glass to the regulator. 4. Disconnect the power motor connector. 5. Remove the 4 bolts that hold the regulator to the door. 6. Remove the regulator and replace, perform all steps in reverse order.

How do you repair a voltage regulator?

If it has gone bad, you should probably replace it. However, if you want to attempt the repair, it would depend on what is wrong with it. Like an electric motor, a voltage regulator commonly has brushes which wear down over time. Perhaps these brushes have worn to the point that they need to be replaced. If this is the case, I recommend changing them at a small repair shop that does that sort of work. Ask around with local handymen or guys at the autoparts store. Someone does it and it will probably cost $20. I don't know if you can buy the brushes to change yourself. You could also replace the voltage regulator by finding one at a junk yard.

Can you replace the voltage regulator on a 1995 dodge neon?

Absoutely, tho it's probably built into the alternator. Ask your local auto parts supplier if a replacement regulator is available. Of course you have to disassemble the alternator and install the regulator if it in inside your alternator. lol It's inside the alternator. Either replace the alternator or get a diagram of the alternator and rebuild it.
