Can you list five positive influences of sport on people or society?

Sports may not seem a big deal to some people, but they actually can change peoples lifes, some reasons are:
1) Gives people mental toughness- In sports you have to learn how to work hard and listen to a coach, this creates toughness not only in that sport but in their job, their family, and just how they live their lifes
2) Creates jobs- Sports has created millions of jobs. For coaches, professional players (theres more then just the NBA, NFL etc.) trainers, sports managment, agents, bloggers, ESPN, fox sports, comcast etc. employees and the list goes on
3) Gives people hope- Sports has saved many lifes. Drug dealers, or people suffering from sucidael thoughts look to sports has something to look forward to. In school some nobody can now be the star of the Basketball team or the high school QB.
4) Friendships- I have played sports my whole life and almost all of my friends came from those I played sports with. It gives you a chance to hang out with a bunch of guys at practice everyday.
5) Gives us something no other country has- We are the only country to have a professial sports league for every major sport. It makes our society that much better. It brings us medals at Olympics and great international players to our country. I just think sports makes us better as a whole
