Can you go into surgery with a fairly new piercing I am going to get getting surgery on my nose and am thinking of getting my bellybutton pierced about 3 months prior to the surgery?

It shouldn't present a problem unless you get infected and the infection persists until the time of operation. Any infection present during surgery increases the risk of complications.
They may ask you to remove the jewelry for the procedure but you can just get a retainer for it by going to a professional piercer or going to a reliable body jewelry store online

I had my bellybutton pierced about 6 months ago and i can still remember how painful it was. I am not trying to put anybody off but it is the most painful piercing i have ever had and i am really high pain threshold.
