The motto of ITT Technical Institute is 'Education for the Future'.
An education in subjects such as Woodwork, metalwork, shop practice, automotive, etc.
It depends on what your after. If you just want to be lube and tire tech, then a High School education is the only thing you need, but you will never advance in your career. If you want to learn about the top of the line performance cars and the most advanced automotive systems, then you can go to Universal Technical Institute or Wyotech, and their programs are run about 14 months, but they do not offer a degree. If you want a degree in auto repair, there are a lot of "Technical Colleges," that offer 2 year automotive associates degree programs. In those programs, they not only teach you the basics of auto repair and automotive theory, but they teach you how to be a technician. It doesn't really matter what type of school you go to because most shops will start you off in an entry level position. To actually be an automotive technician takes years of hands on experience that a school can't teach you. Going to a technical college and earning an associates degree would be the fastest road to being a technician.
Technician A is correct that the Automotive Youth Educational Systems (AYES) serves as an accrediting body for automotive training programs. Technician B appears to be incomplete in their statement; the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF) is another organization that accredits automotive training programs, ensuring they meet industry standards. Both organizations play a vital role in ensuring high-quality education in the automotive field.

Hello, Lovely Professional University (LPU) is a comprehensive state-private university established under the **Lovely Professional University Act, 2005**, and is officially *recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC)*. As per Supreme Court rulings in India, *AICTE approval is mandatory only for colleges*, not for **universities** that are established through state or central legislation. This means **LPU does not require AICTE affiliation** to offer engineering or technical degrees. Its **UGC recognition is fully sufficient and legally valid** for conferring such qualifications. Nonetheless, LPU **voluntarily follows AICTE norms** in its B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA, and MCA programs, and some online courses even carry an **AICTE No Objection Certificate**. Therefore, LPU’s engineering and technical degrees are **completely valid and widely accepted**, both in India and internationally, on par with those from AICTE-approved institutions.
