Yes all 98's are interchangeable no matter the model. But if you haven't taken apart a paintball gun before it could cause problems. When i was putting a new trigger in my 98 the second i lifted one half off about 3 springs shot off. I had to get my owners manual and look to see where all the springs went. Took about 15 minutes longer than it should have. But was worth it in the end.
No, they will not both fit unless you have it custom fitted.
Yes, as long as it has two holes for the banjo hoses.
No. The trigger assembly for the a5 is set up very different from the 98 custom.
The question is not which is better, but rather what your preferance is. The etrigger will allow you to adjust your rate of fir (ie. semi-auto, full auto, and 3 round burst). Where as the response trigger uses air to push the trigger forward after it has been pulled back. Therefore, in essence if you find the "sweet spot" you will have the trigger bounce of your finger and give you simulated full auto. The drawback is no control over the rate of fire. The advantage is that it has no electronics or batteries. So, again its your personal prefferance.
No, only a Tippmann A-5 comes with a cyclone feed standard. However a Cyclone can be purchased that will fit the 98 Custom.
They should be universal.
There are actually one in the same. There was never an orginial "model 98" only the custom series. The difference though would be found in the Tippmann 98 custom Platinum series with its easy to remove body.
probably up to 600 fps
standard .68 caliber.
Yes! They have the same threads. but the tippmann 98 custom platinum is not as good as the original if i were u i would ge rid of the thing...its not that it is bad it just chops and is not built as good as the tippmann 98 custom.
Dennis Tippmann is the founder of Tippmann paintball.
