The goalkeeper has all of the same rights and privileges as any other player on the field. They can defend, pass, and score like anyone else. They may be anywhere on the field during play. However, the goalkeeper has the special privilege of handling the ball ONLY within his own penalty area (18-yard box).
The goal keeper is always considered a defender, if he is in or out of the penalty area.
how do you score a goal when the goal keeper is out of the box?
The goal keeper in netball may only goal in the goal circle for the opposite team and that goal third, They are not allowed to go into/past the centre third
The goal keeper defends the ball from being in the goal.
Yes they can they are not restricted to the penalty box they can go where they like, they don't however because that is incredibly stupid, they'd be of course leaving the goal wide open.
Yes, but he cannot use his/her hands.
goal keeper A goal Keeper (GK) plays in the defencive third including the goal ring (semi circle)
most of the time when a goal keeper takes the penalty shot but sometimes when the goal keeper of the other team is so much above his field or area the goal keeper may kick the ball from goal to the other goal.
Technicaly the keeper is always the keeper which is why he is wearing a diffrent uniform. In the rules it states that a team must be made up of ten players and a keeper you must have a keeper at all times. If he is out of the box he acts as any other player and cannot use his hands. You could have your keeper playing striker if you wanted as long as he was still wearing somthing to distinguish him as the keeper.
A goal keeper is a position on a soccer team. This player is awarded special status in that they may use their hands while in their own penalty area (the large box). The keeper is required to wear a distinguishable uniform from either team, the referees, and the opposing goal keeper.
