For sanctioned Bowling and tournaments, absolutely not. The surface of the ball may not be altered in any way. The only place tape is allowed is inside the finger holes. If you are just bowling for fun, an not in sanctioned play, you could hve tape on your ball, but it will screw up your shot and potentially cause damage to the lanes and machinery.
