Yes. A person can make a great living as a drag racer, or another member of the race team. NHRA, and IHRA race teams are much like down scaled nascar teams. NASCAR people make more money I think, still, but a career in drag racing can be very rewarding, and more often than not, it becomes a hobby, as well as a craft.
