PGA rules do not allow borrowing equipment during the match. Each player is entitled to 14 clubs in his bag. If he borrows it before the match starts and returns it at the end of the round, it is permissible.
Players may share clubs, as long as the total between the two of them does not exceed 14 clubs. Many examples are available in section 4 of the PGA rule book.

A method putter is a putter that Nike named. The Nike Method is Nike's best putter and actually isn't bad. I tried it out and it is definitely worth the money.

It is simply a slang term that was popularised by Ben Hogan. Golf courses in Texas used to have a reputation for very hard and crispy fairways and fringes, so if a player was just off the green they would favour their putter over a wedge.
