The laws of the game do not address spectator behaviour and referees have no direct authority over them, however if a referee considers that a spectator (parent or not) is causing disruption to the game he can usually ask the home team officials to intervene.

(In most soccer jurisdictions, behaviour of the spectators is the responsibility of the home team.)

If the disruption from a spectator or spectators is particularly bad and/or cannot be controlled, the referee has the authority to abandon the game.
