There is an age limit in Olympic gymnastics. Competitors must be 16 by the end of the calendar year in which their chosen event takes place. However this does not necessarily exclude them from contest held by other organisations.

If they're a teen elite under fifteen, they can compete at junior competitions, like Pan Am, and nationals. Those are the two main meets for juniors, and there's always Tyson American cup, but it's joint, so juniors don't always compete in them.
