This amount is typically based on where you are located, and what groups of people you are looking to teach. If you are at a club, you will typically be offered a salary and a bonus of a cetain amount for each private lesson you teach. If you are instructing on your own, it is most difficult to find clients, but you also pocket a lot more of the profit. As with most jobs, it also depends how often you want to work. You can do the math based on how often you want to work. If you are at a club, typically teaching 20 hours of drills per week and 20 hours of private lessons per week is about normal. Typical payment per hour of drills would be $15-20 and privates would be $50-$60 per hour. Do the math of hour much you think you would teach and earn per week, then multiply that by 48 (allowing 1 month off per year) and that is your yearly income. Depending on work habits, I would say low-ed $40,000 high end would be $90,000 - $110,000. Hope this helps.
