no... well..... there are jazz dancers and tap dancers but if you want to be good take Ballet.
mostly ballet (well its all ballet) because back in the period phantom of the opera was set ballet dancing was very popular to go and see for the rich even though being a dancer was frowned upon. the opera house would have its own ballet dancer's or tours of ballet dancers.
A female ballet dancer is called a ballerina. She is a beautiful, graceful, hardworking girl.A dancer, a ballet dancer, a danseuse or a ballerina (an all-purpose compliment for every girl who dances).
A ballerina. The term "ballerina" refers to a PRINCIPAL dancer in a ballet company, not any girl who takes ballet. Although now the term seems to apply to any little lady in the craft. The real term (though little-known) for a female dancer other than the principal dancer is "danseuse."--A MALE Ballet Dancer, Dane Youssef
BallerinaThe funny thing is that the term "ballerina" refers to a PRINCIPAL dancer in a ballet company, not any girl who takes ballet. But now the term seems to apply to any little lady in the craft. But... the real official term (though little-known) is "danseuse."
It depends on each company as to who they employ. Generally though if the company can afford an outsider, they will, providing the dancer is very good.
Depends on which week you are talking about! She's a good dancer huh! Don't think she will win though.

Ballet originated in France in the 1600's as a classical movement of the body made to entertain the King of the time. Originally, men danced on pointe as well as women but then it got too hard for men to dance in and everyone agreed it didn't suit a man's build. By the 1800's, ballet dances that are still performed today had been choreographed making ballet very popular and entertaining.
Ballet was created in Russia. the ballet dance moves are in french though. i hope that helps.
For females,it means flat-chested,long neck, short torso and under a certain weight for whatever your height is.The male ballet dancer always has to be taller than the female and physically fit.And of course be strong enough to lift her. the term "a body for ballet dancing" generally means that you need to have the "ideal" body for dancing; which often means being skinny, eating with a right diet, having skinny feet, a graceful etiquette, etc. in actuality, that is not the case though, although you can't be "bulky". there's a fine-line between skinny, slender, and just...overweight or chubby. ballerinas usually have very small boobs but they still have boobs one of the reasons why this is because they are so fit and strong (this might sound weird) that their boobs get like muscles and they stay small.
No, it actually didn't, even though the Classical Ballet words are in French. Classical Ballet first started in Italy!
Yeah... you really cant get free ballet lessons unless you know someone who teaches ballet. youtube and other online video sites have some pretty informative stuff for beginners though. even though professional lessons from a trained ballet dancer aren't usually that expensive for beginners anyway. its usually when you get to advanced ballet like pointe when you need to buy special shoes and then if you are good enough to participate in a recital then you would have to pay for any costumes. i hope I've been some help. peace. p.s. if you lived in south Florida. i could give ballet lessons for a small price like $10-20 a lesson. i could also recommend some of my former companies that taught me well.
