The only "rules" concerning the leotard is that you cannot wear anything over your leotard (including warm ups or shorts)during competition. Most of the other things concerning the leotard are things such as: you cannot pick a wedgie or pull at your leotard anywhere or the judges will deduct from your score during competitions.
