In my opinion airsoft wars do not hurt but yet I play paintball. But it really matter what fps the airsoft gun is and how close they are to you and if they are shooting you once. But really airsoft does't pack a punch in the hit it just stings a little bit.
No- and it would be very dangerous to try. Pellet guns and airsoft are two very different things.
Airsoft firearms represent the most authentic and efficient means of participating in airsoft skirmishes. In contrast to paintball markers, airsoft guns are meticulously crafted to closely emulate the appearance and tactile sensations of their real counterparts, rendering them ideal for simulating a lifelike battle environment. Moreover, they are engineered to discharge plastic BB projectiles, enhancing safety and precision when compared to alternative airsoft weaponry.
Both BB guns and Airsoft Guns require you be at least 18 to purchase. It is also required you must be 18 to buy BB's. For a starter airsoft gun, you have to ask yourself, Do I wan't to play in wars, or do I just want to shoot? If you want to participate in airsoft wars, I suggest a Classic Army Sportline M15A5* to start. If you are planning to just shoot at targets, I wouldn't go over $100 for an airsoft gun. *I posted a link on related links for you. Airsoft GI is a reliable retailer of airsoft guns. They are located in South California
