There are 3 teams who have never been to the MLS post season. Toronto FC (5 years), Portland Timbers (1 year), Vancouver Whitecaps FC (1 year).
Seattle Sounders, Chivas FC, and the Philadelphia Union have made it to the Post Season but have never made it to the finals.

The MLS all stars are playing Everton FC but otherwise MLS pretty well keeps to themselves. You could go to mlsnet.com to find out more but that's all I can think of off the top of my head. Hope this helps :)

Currently there aren't any teams in the NFL Playoffs, although if you are talking about the Superbowl, the last two teams were the San Francisco 49ers and the Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens eventually won.
Between the 2000-2009 seasons, no team has made the playoffs every season. The Indianapolis Colts have made the playoffs in 9 seasons, the most of any team. 2001 was the only season in the past 10 that they didn't make the playoffs as their record was 6-10. The Philadelphia Eagles made the playoffs in 8 of those 10 seasons, missing out only in 2005 (6-10) and 2007 (8-8).
On September first of each year a teams roster expands to 40 men from 25. However any player not on the teams 25 man roster by August 31st cant be used in the playoffs.
Yes, you would have one division winner, and 2 wild card teams that could possibly be from the same division. That last occurred in the 2007 season. The wildcard teams in the NFC were the New York Giants and Washington Redskins, both from the East division, and in the AFC were the Jacksonville Jaguars and Tennessee Titans, both from the South division. yes. in 1494 the colu
Since the NFL went to it's current twelve game playoff format in 1990 eleven team who have been three games below .500 at any point during the regular season have gone on to make the playoffs. The last team to start the season 1-4 and make the playoffs were the 2002 NY Jets who not only made the playoffs but won the AFCE. The 2008 Chargers are the only team since 1990 to ever be four games below .500 at any point during the regular season and make the playoffs. SD won the AFCW in a tie breaker with the Denver Broncos.
