I have taken Ballet since i was six and am very glad that I have strong legs because they help you to have more strength in turns and leaps. the only problem is that you have to try harder to be graceful to make up for your strength. I have huge leg muscles because I also play soccer in high school. Either way if you work hard at dancing leg muscles should only help you if you have good technique and work on being graceful.
Ballet is a beautiful yet complicated art. It is a rigorous, detailed dance form. In order to do ballet well, you have to hold in your core muscles and pull up your leg muscles. Pros make ballet look easy but it's actually very, very, very difficult. Pointe dancing (on your toes) hurts a lot at first but your feet develope strong muscles and calluses. Dancers may loose their toenails and have feet problems. But it's so worth it!well ballet originally developed in Italy during the late 1400's:) some ballet dancers names are Anna pavlona, margot fonteyn, and darcy bussel:) hope i gave you some good info:) and in my opinion my favorite ballet dancer is Anna pavlona:) she is a huge inspiration:)it Anna PAVLOVA like the desert it actually named after her because it lite and delicate

Neoclassical ballet is a type of ballet formed by George Balanchine and is "American ballet" (like Vagonava is Russian Ballet). This type of ballet makes everything bigger and grander so instead of small controlled jumps, for example, in Balachine/neoclassical ballet, there would be huge jumps. Another example is when you finish a pirouette in fourth position, some styles have you end in a small fourth, but in neoclassical ballet, you land in a wide fourth with arms lengthened and "reaching."Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ballet (under neoclassical ballet)ANDhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neoclassical_ballet
