It is not the same way as in the MSL, NBA and NHL; in European soccer any teenager seen talented by a talent scout of any football club, that teenager would be given a youth contract so that he could join the youth academy of the team. When the teenager becomes between the age of 17 to 19 he could be given a professional contract if he is seen good by the team manager.
