there are many hazards such as being caught in a rip tide or rip current or getting dragged under with bigger waves. You can get swept out to sea or onto rocks which can be lethal but most life guard patrolled beaches are very safe and the rush you get out of Surfing is definitely worth the pain.
Teak surfing is hanging off the swim platform at the back of a boat and being dragged through the water. It's dangerous for two reasons: the boat's propeller will cut you to pieces if you touch it, and you're hanging in the boat's exhaust. So...you pass out from the CO in the exhaust, fall into the prop and wind up looking like hamburger meat. Not cool.
it can be, though it really depends.........but be careful anyway
Falling, shark bites, jelly fish stings, and hitting some one or some thing near
