i know of three very famous surfers, one deceased. 1.) Mark foo- who died Surfing a huge mavericks surf and was trapped underwater by his leash. 2.) Billy hamilton- father of laird hamilton, one of the most famous big wave surfers. 3.) LAIRD HAMILTON- gotta know who he is...laird hamilton is probably the best big wave surfer in the whole world, what makes him even cooler is he is not doing it only for the money, infact, he refuses to compete in contests. Laird has many famous videos, like the one where he surfs one of the heaviest and most tube-like wavr at teahupoo, and there are some awesome things about him in the movie "Riding Giants, for some cool videos just search his name, my fave is: search Google for "laird hamilton: the best big wave surfer to have lived?"
