Yes, i think he did. his act of being the first black Baseball player in history made people think, yes, blacks really can play sports, which led to, they can have jobs, which led to blacks are just the same as white people. Jackie Robinson was a great role model for everyone, he said that anyone can do anything, and he did just that.

Yes, but he was more of an influence to the desegregation of Major League Baseball by not retaliating to the jeers and insults that were directed to him by other players and fans. His resolute stance of silence enabled him to overcome the opposition. The opponents of desegregation finally realized they could not get under his skin. Moreover, Robinson's stellar performance on the field (at both 2nd and 3rd and later in his career at 1st base) plus his hitting ability made him a star player for 10 years with the Brooklyn Dodgers.
