He played with the Oakland Athletics in the 1973 and 1974 World Series and with the New York Yankees in the 1977, 1978, and 1981 World Series. He was a member of the Athletics in 1972, the year they won the first of their three consecutive World Series championships, but was injured during the ALCS (torn left hamstring in Game 5) against the Detroit Tigers and did not play in the Series.

He was a member of the Oakland A's teams that won three consecutive World Series between 1972 and 1974. But he didn't play in the '72 Series because of a ruptured hamstring sustained in the American League Championship Series against Detroit. He still gets credit because he helped get the team in the Fall Classic. Jackson also played for three New York Yankees teams that made it to the World Series, but only the 1977 and 1978 squads won world championships. Let's go ahead and give him credit for five rings.

According to www.Baseball-reference.com . . . Jackson played in five World Series for the A's and Yankees. In 27 games, he hit 10 home runs.
