According the official Major League Baseball website (under 'Important Dates'), the dates differ depending on the player's role and whether it's voluntary or mandatory.

Here's the list of dates for 2011 Spring Training:

  • February 13, 2011 - Spring Training reporting date for pitchers, catchers and injured players - Voluntary
  • February 18, 2011 - Spring Training reporting date for non-pitchers and catchers - Voluntary
  • March 1, 2011 - Spring Training reporting date for all players - Mandatory
