This shows where each team in the Premiership is located.
Aston Villa are based in Birmingham. It is only if they are playing teams from London in away matches that they play in London, or if they got to a Wembley final.
I' believe it was in 1897; but it was merely VFL state football back then. The previous [opening] year of the VFL, in 1896, the top team of the league after the home-and-away matches won the 'flag' with no finals. The AFL commenced in 1990: Collingwood won the premiership that year.
There are 20 teams in the Barclays Premier League, each one plays the other 19 teams in the league twice, so each team plays 38 matches per season. The total number of matches played each season by all the teams is 380, as every weekend there are 10 played, not 20 as each match consists of two teams.
The teams that don't ear an away kit are........ i actually don't know:> :O :P
Sheffield Wednesday (whose home ground it is) and all the away teams
The Premier League as it stands today was formed in 1992 by break away clubs who wished to get more money from TV revenue teams were reduced from 24 to 20 teams and the first team to win the premiership was Manchester Utd. Before the premiership there were 24 teams in what was League One. Barclays began sponsoring it through BarclayCard in 2001 and as Barclays from 2004, with 2015-2016 being the last season of their sponsorship.
In the current Barclays season 2011-12, they have played 20 matches- 11 wins 4 draws and 5 losses. This is as of January 11, 2012. Hope this helped mate.
They use Nike at home. While away they use the home teams balls.

A football club usually has two or three kits. The team that is playing at home will get to wear their home kit, and the away team wears their away kit, unless the two are similar, in which case the away team would wear their home kit or alternate kit. If both teams are playing away, one club will still have been designated as the home team and they get to wear their home kit.
The Away Goals rules is a method ofbreaking Ties in Association Football and other sports when teams play each other twice, once at each team's home ground. By the away goals rule, the team that has scored more goals "away from home" will win if scores are otherwise equal
each premier league team plays every other team home and away => they play 38 games in the league
