How did Kobe bryant become a Laker?

Kobe grew up watching Michael Jordan play, so he wanted to be just like him. In high school, the janitor would open the gym for him, so he could practice from 4 a.m. until 8 a.m. before school started. During a Q & A session, when asked how much he practices, Bryant replied 6-8 hours a day. The reason why he got so good, was because of a good work ethic. I hope this was helpful.
