Chauncey Olcott (late nineteenth-century-early twentieth) Popularized the folk song and was the subject of a movie version (Posthumous) where the lead character was based on the songwriter. I Can"t recall the actor, obvious St.Patrick"s day fare.
JZ come on at 6:30pm and U2 come on at 8:15pm on 18th December at Patterson Stadium
It's called "Always With You" and it is by the bootleg producer Divide & Kreate.
Actually its a song called "Slow Dancing" which was a additional track on the "If God Will Send His Angels" CD Single
The U2 song "One", sometimes known as "One Love" first appeared as the third track of their 1991 album "Achtung Baby". When the song was released as a single the proceeds of sales went towards AIDS research.
Their debut album was in 1980, Boy. So the band officially started in 1980, but, they formed in Dublin, Ireland, in September of 1976.
Bono writes most of the lyrics, though The Edge has written some too (parts of songs like "Sunday Bloody Sunday," "Seconds," and "Wake Up Dead Man"). The entire band collaborates on the actual writing of the music, though The Edge seems to take the lead in that respect.
In the current issue of Air & Space (May 2012) it states that"five U-2s were shot down with Russian=developedSA-2 surface-to-air missiles . . ." This is a in an article where a Chinese pilot is interviewed and the context is U-2s shot down by the Chinese. The statement is made, however, by the interviewer as partof a question and not by the Chinese pilot, so I assume it is accurate. I also assume that this is in addition to Gary Powers being shot down over Russia. Reading this was the first I had heard of other U-2s being shot down.
It was cancelled because President Eisenhower refused Soviet requests that he apologize for the U-2 incident where the Soviets shot down and recovered a US spy plane.
Four chart hits with that title:
Nilsson in 1972
Mariah Carey in 1994
Johnny Tillotson in 1961
Motley Crue in 1990
But let's not forget the original version by Badfinger in 1970 which closed out side 1 of "No Dice".
He has tried to dispel gay rumors by saying he was engaged to a supermodel (Naomi Campell)
However, in one interview, he was asked the following question:
Q: Are you gay with Michael Frederick
A: Ya all night every night ;
... though he had also just answered that he also told lies
The US claimed that the plane was a weather research aircraft which had strayed into SU airspace, denying that it was a spy plane.
I think, though not entirely sure, may need backing up on this.. but i believe Bono was trying to contrast the 1972 Bloody Sunday massacre with Easter Sunday, a peaceful day Protestants and Catholics both celebrate.
Here's a little somthing i dug out on a website [it sounds more import then mine XD]
Bloody Sunday is the term used to describe an incident in Derry, Northern Ireland, on 30 January 1972 in which 26 civil rights protesters were shot by members of the first Battalion of the British Parachute Regiment led by Lieutenant-Colonel Derek Wilford and his second-in-command Captain Mike Jackson, who had joint responsibility for the operation, during a Northern Ireland Civil Rights Association march in the Bogside area of the city. Thirteen people, six of whom were minors, died immediately, while the death of another person 4½ months later has been attributed to the injuries he received on the day. Two protesters were injured when they were run down by army vehicles. Many witnesses including bystanders and journalists testify that all those shot were unarmed. Five of those wounded were shot in the back.
The Provisional Irish Republican Army's (IRA) campaign against Northern Ireland being a part of the United Kingdom had begun in the two years prior to Bloody Sunday, but perceptions of the day boosted the status of and recruitment into the organisation. Bloody Sunday remains among the most significant events in the recent troubles of Northern Ireland, arguably because it was carried out by the army and not paramilitaries, and in full public and press view.
This was an extremely important day in Ireland's history, and one that Bono felt deserved immortality not other for being such a gruesome day, but through his song as well.

The song with or without you is on the Joshua tree if that's what you're asking.
The U-2 was a top secret high altitude spy plane that was shot down by the Soviets on 5 May 1960, over Russian territory. At first, President Eisenhower denied it was a spy plane, claiming it was a weather plane blown off course, because he believed the pilot was killed in the crash or, as U-2 pilots were supposed to do, committed suicide. The Russians announced they had the pilot, Francis Gary Powers, and he had been captured and confessed to being a spy. Eisenhower then took responsibility for ordering the flight and the Soviet Premier Khrushchev canceled the meeting between the two leaders that was going to take place in Russia. The U-2 incident only increased tensions between the two Cold War powers.
