Pregnant and our baby stopped moving all of a sudden for 2 days what can be the problem'?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Most likely nothing since at 18 weeks the baby could be moving but not enough for the mother to feel it or the baby could be asleep. If you don't feel the baby moving then do this....drink a full glass of cold water and lay quietly on your left side for 30 minutes this will usually wake up the baby if shes sleeping and will move more. If you don't feel the baby moving after this then call your OB doctor for a check up.

Is it safe to keep your computer on for a long while?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Mine is on for 24 hours straight, but i turn it off eventually Turning your computer off and on repeatedly actually causes more "wear and tear" on it than leaving it run continuously. It's still a good idea to reboot it periodically. One reason is to clear up any memory that might not have been fully released by the application that last used it. A buildup of unreleased memory will deteriorate your computer's performance over time. I usually reboot mine every 2 weeks or so. Also be sure and periodically run scandisk and defragmenter on your system to keep it in top shape.

Is it safe to go into a public swimming pool if you are 38 weeks pregnant and the cervix is starting to soften?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Certainly. There is a plug of mucus in your cervix blocking off the path to bacteria then you also have your bag of waters protecting the baby. So go, have fun. Swimming is GREAT for pregnant women.

Would your baby get affected if you go on wild rides and your 3 weeks pregnant?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Babies can get motion sickness, just like the rest of us. If you go on those rides and your baby gets sick, it may vomit and then spend the rest of it's time in the womb covered in vomit. You'll know if it is covered in vomit at birth.

How often can pregnant women exercise?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Pregnant women should take care when exercising in all trimesters, to be honest, because all of them come with different risks: First trimester is where the baby is smallest and therefore most vulnerable. There is more risk of miscarriage in this trimester, so women should take care not to do anything overly strenuous Second trimester is where there is a risk of premature birth. Although some babies survive being born in the second trimester, it is risky and many do not survive. So women should take care during exercise in the second trimester to lower the risk of premature birth Third trimester is where there is not so much risk because the baby would survive being born in the third trimester, however, the mother may find it difficult to exercise during this trimester due to back ache, needing to pee more, exhaustion and a large bump. Also, she may find she gets out out breath very easily or gets hot very quickly

Why do pregnant woman often find it easier to exercise in a wimming pool?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Because they are weightless. If the baby weighs 3kg (not counting the fluid) you take that times 9 and that is how much extra weight that is on her back, 27kg. It takes a body 2 year to recover from birth.

Is it safe for pregnant women to ride in a semi trucks?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Yes. It is perfectly safe for pregnant women to ride in semi trucks. The biggest danger is climbing in and out of them when you're pregnant. Your balance is off during pregnancy, so falling while climbing in and out of the truck is the biggest concern. I would suggest getting in and out of the truck with help. Definitely make sure you have someone behind you to stabilize you so you don't fall.

Can you go to a farm when you are pregnant?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

I would have to yes. Just don't pick up any droppings and try not to get kicked by anything. There are lots of women that even still work on their farms while they are pregnant. Ask your doctor. I have to agree. You may not want to mixing herbicides or climb inside a dusty grain bin. There have been many farmers wives who have been pregnant and they are on the farm everyday. As pointed out in the 1st answer, if in doubt - depending on what type of farm or what farming operation you intend to be around, consult your doctor.

Is it safe to take Advil while pregnant?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

i took an Advil for a headache i just want to know if it will cause me to miscarry

Advil is not safe to take during pregnancy but it should not cause you to miscarry after just one dose but don't take it again. Read the label on all medications before taking during pregnancy. If there are any doubts do not take it! Your doctor can prescribe something safe for you to take for your headaches (generally these are acetaminophen based drugs). If your headaches are severe and you can't get into the doctor go to the emergency room; they can help you.

Can I use a trampoline when pregnant?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

I did, right up to nine months! The advice I was given, and fully believe in, is that any NEW exercise is dangerous - including Yoga. But if you jumped on a trampoline before your pregnancy, then you should jump on it during your pregnancy. It is certainly safe, providing you are not attempting difficult moves and crash-landing! You will find (obviously), front landing trampoline moves are painful such as the front drop. You may also find as you enter the 2nd or third trimester, that your balance is not too good. At this point it may be a good idea to stop. For me, I never lost my balance and continued throughout the pregnancy. It is a good core strength exercise and might I add that it has been medically proven that the trampoline completely CURES any form of depression. So I highly recommend trampolining after the birth to stave off the PPD! The trampoline has numerous health benefits too.

Is it safe to paint while you are pregnant?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

No not usually because of the fumes. If you must try a ventilation mask with a filter and open all the windows and doors. Try to have someone else do it and you leave for the day. You can even discuss with your doctor. The myth that painting is unsafe actually started years ago when there was still lead in the paint used. However, today they have changed the product, and you should no longer be able to buy paint that contains lead. It is not a problem. The only risk you will find that comes with painting is lightheadedness which can occur from reaching above your head. I helped paint my baby room, and I just made sure it was well ventilated and I sat down and took a break every so often. But don't paint alone!!! If, for some reason, you do get a dizzy spell, you will absolutely want someone near by to make sure you don't fall and hurt yourself. It is not only lead based paints that are unsafe. Paints with high VOCs (such as oil-based enamels and epoxy) are not safe for anyone to breathe over an extended period. If you are pregnant and want to do some painting, be sure to ask for a paint with low VOC, or at least be sure to use a water based (latex) paint and have proper ventilation. Even for several days after paint has been applied it can "offgas" fumes into the air. Continue to supply fresh air to an area that is freshly painted for as long as is practical after painting. While solvent-based paints pose more of a threat, water-based paints contain anti-microbials to inhibit microbiological growth while packaged. There are known health effects resulting from occupational exposure to anti-microbials. This would be an extremely low-level exposure, but low-level exposure science is just emerging and much is still unknown. Minimizing exposure to potentially hazardous substances while pregnant (and any other time) is prudent.
