Where in Lynn did Helen Blake live when killed by Boston strangler?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

I can't find the actual address, but Helen Blake at the time of her murder was living in an apartment. Lynn is a suburb of Boston. Apartments were a common theme for the Boston Strangler, aka Albert DeSolvo. Most of DeSolvo's victims lived in apartments. It may have been planned on his part. He used the 'maintainence man' ruse to gain entry into the women's apartments.

Are there any serial killers that had no victim type?

User Avatar

Asked by BobbieLustenberg

Yes, some serial killers do not have a specific victim type. They may target people of different ages, genders, or backgrounds, making it more difficult for investigators to establish a clear pattern. These killers may be driven by a desire for power and control rather than a specific preference for a certain type of victim.

Could you define MO as criminal motive of serial killer?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

MO, in the context of a serial killer, stands for Modus Operandi, which refers to the specific methods and behaviors used by the killer to commit their crimes. It includes details such as the selection of victims, the manner in which they are approached or attacked, and other distinctive elements of the crimes that are consistent across multiple incidents. In relation to criminal motive, MO focuses more on the how and what of the crimes, rather than the underlying psychological or personal motivations of the killer.

Can serial killers be cured?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

That's the million dollar question. There's no way to do so right now. We don't have a solution because we don't even understand where the problem stems from. There are many hypothesis on how a serial killer is a serial killer, but none of them can give us a 100% insight to how they became who they became. Many serial killers have loads of things in common, like living in a dysnfuctional home and suffering head trauma as children. But we still can't find the problem. Until we know what the problem is, we cannot solve it.

What is the Boston Strangler's real name?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

The Boston Strangler's real name was Albert De Solvo. He was never formaly

charged with the murders and was doing time for another set of crimes. There has always been a debate among law enforcement and public opinion as to whom the real strangler was. De Solvo comfessed to the crimes but recently DNA proved that he was not responsible for the last murder, Mary Sullivan. There may be further testing on the remaining victims and it is possible that there was a second killer that worked the same general area and time frame. Chances are very good though that De Solvo was responsible for some of the murders. He knew details of some of the crime scenes that only the killer would know about. And as soon as he was arrested the crimes can to a halt. This has all come to late to help De Solvo though, he was killed by another inmate in his prison cell.

Is Scott Peterson innocent?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

In real life there are very few true coincidences. For the circumstantial evidence in the Peterson case to be random and/or pure chance is ridiculous. The odds are astromnomical in fact. Peterson is exactly where he deserves to be.

In a criminal case, circumstantial evidence, especially when there is much of it, is just as damning as physical evidence. It is given great weight in the courtroom, as it should be.

There is no mystery to the Peterson case. The only person that would have benefited from Lacy and Conner's deaths was Scott Peterson. He never wanted to be a father, and he never acted like a husband either. He was a ticking timebomb and Lacy's pregnancy was the catylist that detonated it.

Who is Yolanda Saldivar?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Yolanda Saldívar is a convicted murderer, born September 19, 1960.

She was a nurse (with a college average of a "C") who went on to become Selena Quintanilla Perez's fan club president. She laundered money from Selena's fan club for her own personal use and when Abraham Quintanilla (Selena's father) found discrepancies with cancelled checks from Selena's fan club, he advised Selena of what was going on. Selena and her father confronted Yolanda about the checks and Yolanda acted like she didn't know what was going on. She and Selena set up a meeting early one morning at the Days Inn where Yolanda was staying and speculation is that Yolanda and Selena argued about the missing money and when Yolanda felt threatened and in backed in a corner, basically busted for her wrongdoing, she shot Selena more than once and chased her through the grounds of the hotel where Selena ultimately fell dead in the lobby.

Was Leatherface based on Ed Gein?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

The movie Texas Chainsaw Massacre is only loosely based on Ed Gein. The main villiain, "Leatherface" wears a mask made from human skin (as did Buffalo Bill in "Silence of the Lambs"), which is one of the items discovered in Ed's Wisconsin farmhouse when he was arrested. Along with several face masks, Ed also made leggings, chest pieces, and had an assortment of female vulvas all from the flesh of corpses and victims. Ed did not use a chainsaw to dismember his victims, just large knives and chains.

Has Tupac Shakur's killer been caught yet?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

There has been no arrest and never will be probably. Retired L.A. detective Greg Kading revealed in his book on BIG that the trigger man was Darnell Bolton, aka Wardell Fouse or 'Poochie'. According to Kading Poochie killed BIG on the orders of Death Row Records CEO Suge Knight for $13,000.

Poochie himself was shot and killed in 2003. I guess it's true that if you 'live by the sword you die by the sword'.
