first you have to remove the long cover up by the windshield/defroster vent.there will be two screws behind that cover on top that hold the radio dash cover on.take those out then pull from the top outward.the rest of that piece is just clipped on.once that's off you should have access to the radio bolts.

Why was it important that Caesar crossed the rubicon?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

The Rubicon was/is a river in Northern Italy.

The thing that made it important in this specific case was that at the time it marked the boundary between Gaul, a province in the Roman Empire (where Gaius Julius Caesar had the legitimate legal authority to command troops) and Italy proper, controlled directly by Rome, where he did not. The Latin word for this right of command was imperium.

It was a capital (death) offense for anyone but a consul or praetor (elected officials) to exercise imperium in Italy. It was likewise a capital offense for a soldier to obey such orders. Generals were supposed to formally disband their armies before entering the home territory.

When Caesar crossed the Rubicon with his army intact, he was effectively declaring civil war. Had he not won, he (and his army) would have been executed. Up until the moment they crossed the river, they could have turned back, as they had not up until then violated Roman law.

Will sixteen inch wheels fit a dodge ram 3500 truck?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Yes, but you must get the correct size tires, which will be different from what you now have. The diameter of the tire/wheel combination should be the same as the OEM installation, or your speedometer will be off. www.tirerack.com is a good source for the correct wheel/tire combo.

2004 Rubicon sometimes cannot get in to gears 1st-3rd and if it does shift it makes grinding noises but fourth and fifth gear are fine so what wrong?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Sounds like the synchros are failing. Usually a time consuming fix for a professional. Estimate about $1000.00 for a repair if that's the problem.

Grinding in all but 4th and 5th is an indication of a bad input shaft bearing

Can you put a 4.0L engine from a 2000 TJ in a 1995 YJ with a 2.5L?

User Avatar

Asked by Hallspecial

The bodies are extremely similar, the only thing you might have the adjust is the engine mounts, by looking at it (my friend has a 94 4-cylinder and I have an 05 6-cylinder) his sits further back due to having 2 less cylinders, I'm just not sure if they moved the mounts at all to center the load or anything like that, if the engines are still in each vehicle take a look and messure.

What makes white smoke come from the tailpipe when it is first cranked after sitting for a while on a 2004 Lexus RX330?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

If you live in a humid climate it just could be condensation in the exhaust or it could be oil sepping into the combustion chamber and being burned on start up. If you have high milage I would get it checked out by a dealer.

Are Jeep wranglers good vehicles?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

I would steer clear of the Jeep Wrangler...they are unstable and mechanically not sound. I would recommend a Toyota Rav4. They are stable, handle the road well, and are mechanically one of the best SUVs out there.

ok here is the real answer if you want a vehicle that you want to go totally offroad the rubicon is great, for street use the rav would be better more comfortable and human friendly

The Jeep Wrangler is the very best example of a nimble functional 4wd vehicle that will go anywhere and do anything. Why do you think it is the top selling vehicle in New York City? You can park one anywhere. The Jeep Wrangler is engineered to go off road. It needs to be able to maneuver around rocks and trees in tight spaces. The Jeep Wrangler has the most advanced electronic stability program available. This program is on all Jeep vehicles. It helps people maintain control of their vehicles in all conditions. Many car manufacturers don't have a standard electronic stability program. Anybody that compares a Jeep Wrangler against a car is just not the kind of person that understands what a Jeep Wrangler is. Hey, have fun out there. I will! Go Jeep!

The Jeep Wrangler comes in a 4-door family friendly version that has a longer wheel base and, like all Wrangler models, has the Electronic Stability Control that helps even new drivers maintaine control in slippery conditions. The 2-Door models are the bad boys of the Wrangler family. They have the best approach, departure, and breakover angles of any vehicle made, so they can goover things that other vehicles couldn't attempt. Hey, It's A Jeep Thing? Some people just don't understand!
