After much research, I have come to the conclusion that California Beer Seeds were actually "Water Kefir Grains"! Water kefir grains grow in a mixture of sugar and water, and create a slightly lemony beverage with some fizz and a touch of natural alcohol. Hence, BEER (sorta)! Plus it is a natural probiotic beer, to boot! How fun is that! You just need the "seed", sugar, water and a couple of jars, and you get all kinds of fun! Plus the kids enjoy watching the grains kinda bounce up and down, and multiply! Very awesome, I think!

Just Google that phrase, and you will find plenty of places to get it. Amazon carries "water kefir grains" if you shop on there. If you want to see what it looks like, I just googled it with "pic" behind the phrase. It looks a little earthy, but I bet it isn't half bad when its strained!
