Dream interpretation of parachuting?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Dream interpretation of parachuting can vary depending on the context of the dream, but generally, it suggests a sense of protection during challenging times.

It signifies that you feel secure despite risks and turmoil around you. Alternatively, the dream may be a sign that it's time to let go of a situation or abandon an old idea or habit.

If you dream of having difficulties with a parachute, it could indicate that you'll be disappointed by someone you relied on and trusted. Keep in mind that dream interpretations can be subjective and may vary from person to person.

Do the remote coils' work for all paintball guns?

You theoretically could, but it would probably be unsafe, Remote coils are relatively inexpensive, and you will have to spend money for a harness anyways. It is not worth the risk to your back and face to try to make your own.

Why do so many young people risk their lives in sports like rock climbing?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

There are many, many reasons why people do dangerous things. Interestingly, one of the main reasons young people do risky things is because from about age 13 or so until about age 25 (like when your car insurance goes down) people are undergoing a period of growth in the part of the brain that controls risk avoidance and judgement. What this means is their ability to correctly assess the danger of an act (like rock climbing) is not working properly. Most people get through this stage of human development with the help of their parents and older relatives. On top of this, young people have lots of energy, so they are always looking for something to do. Add that to the fact that new adventures are the most fun, so you have people who are less able to judge the risk of what they want to do, plus the desire to get out and do something plus the desire to do something new and different and you have your answer.

Do you need a business licenses for a paintball field?

Yes. You will need a business license, and INSURANCE!

Please do not open a field without insurance, as if someone gets hurt, they can sue you.

Assure that you have a waiver stating that all injuries are taken at their own risk, and lawsuits may not be filed.

How much does it hurt when a paintball hits you?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Generally, it will depend on a few factors such as: Velocity of the paintball, How much clothing is worn, and what part of the body it is. When you get hit in the stomach with a paintball going the standard rate of speed 280-300 Feet Per Second, it feels like a firm pinch or a snap with a large rubber band, keep in mind this is wearing a T-Shirt. If you get hit in the arm, it feels like a semi-firm pinch.

Why should you not wear denim when hill walking or mountain climbing?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Do you mean denim jeans? If so, although denim is thick and fairly warm (when dry!) it is restrictive for movement when climbing. Also, the wind blows right through denim which can cause exposure. But the worst thing is that when denim gets wet it becomes extremely heavy. If you fall into a river or steam, the weight of wet jeans is enough to pull you lower down into the water and makes swimming to safety almost impossible. Many people drown simply because they fell into water while wearing jeans. Another dangerous thing to wear in water is a thick woollen jumper.

Is it legal to have a paintball gun on board a train?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Transporting the markers is fairly straight forward, they need to be in your checked luggage and sometimes (not always) they will have you declare them as firearms for transportation, make sure whoever is checking in your bags knows they are in there.

The real problem is actually any tanks you are bringing with. To transport them you have to remove the regulator/pin valve from the top so when they are checking them before you fly they can see inside of them. If you leave them on, do not expect your tank to be in your baggage when you land.

Sometimes it is better to ship your gear ahead if it is an option

How old to you have to be to own a paintball gun in Canada?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

You can own it at any age, but you can't purchase it. The marker must be given to you by an adult until you are 18. You must also be older than 18 to buy paint. As for fields, if you are under 18 you need to have your parents sign a waiver, then you're good to buy paint, carry a marker (insofar as you do it responsibly) and play.

Paintball is a very safe sport if the rules are obeyed, with a safer track record than most conventional sports, like soccer. If you get a marker have fun and remember, on the field mask stays on NO MATTER WHAT, and off the field your barrel should always be covered by a barrel sleeve.

Why did it get the name bungee jumping?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Because the first bungee jumps were done on giant versions of the common bungee cords that people use for everything from keeping an overstuffed trunk lid down, to attaching luggage to a luggage rack. They are called Bungee cords. The first jumps were done on large versions of those cords... 5/8" to-3/4" to- 1" inch diameter. Made primarily for the military for heavy duty applications such as attaching heavy equipment such as tanks to parachutes for equipment drops. So since the cords they did these first jumps from were called "bungee cords" they named the new activity "bungee jumping"

Then about 8 yrs later after "bungee jumping" had caught on and had spread to the U.S. where the first commercial bungee jumping business had already taken off. Down under a New Zealander had decided to get in on the new craze and began trying to figure out a new system of cords to perform the same jumps. He found that you could buy the same latex rubber in bulk, that was the same as the rubber inside the "bungee" cords. It came in long continuous length ribbons. He found a way to wrap it around a spool on each end, round and round and then finally tying it off. The cord was then stretched out and bound with the same rubber in a dual helical binding to keep it from flying apart and the jumper getting caught up in the rubber during the rebound. These cords have different characteristics during the jump than the machine made "bungee" cords. Bungee cords are made with a machine called a braider. The rubber is stretched tight before going through the braider where the machine weaves a braided sheath around the stretched rubber. After the cord is finished the rubber inside stays stretched out tight so the jumps done on these can be made using a longer cord, resulting in a longer freefall. The cords designed in New Zealand are spongier and stretch longer, so a shorter cord has to be used. Since these cords are different from the usual bungee cords that had already existed he felt they should have a different spelling...hence the name and spelling...Bungy

It more so depends on your area. Obviously, an urban city like area would cause many problems. Though if you live in a wooded area, most counties do not care as long as you do not vandalize. Lakewood is a more rural area so you should be just fine.
