What is the Alfred Weber's Theory of Industrial Location?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Alfred Weber's Theory of Industrial Location, also known as the Least Cost Theory, suggests that the location of industries is determined by minimizing transportation costs and maximizing profits. According to this theory, industries will locate where they can minimize the costs of transporting raw materials to the factory and finished products to the market. Weber classified industries into three categories based on their location factors: weight-gaining, weight-losing, and bulk-reducing.

How can textual evidence be used to support inferences drawn from the text?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Textual evidence can be used to support inferences by directly quoting specific details, descriptions, or dialogue from the text that align with the inferred interpretation. By referencing these concrete examples, readers can demonstrate how their inferences are rooted in the text's content and can be seen as a logical extension of what is explicitly stated. This provides a more convincing argument for the validity of the inference.

Was World War 2 inevitable?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

That war was in NO WAY inevitable but I don't have nearly enough time to list all the ways it could have been prevented. Read "The Unnecessary War" by Patricia Meehan and you'll see how incredible it was that the war happened at all.

AnswerI believe any fight is avoidable, if the possible participants are willing to compromise.

The leaders of the world, namely Hitler, Churchill, Stalin, Roosevelt and Hirohito were not compromisers.

Compromising w/men like Hitler and Stalin was very dangerous. Churchill and Roosevelt knew this. Hirihito was in no position to compromise, his country was about a year away form destitute.

The personalities of the leaders at the time, in my opinion, made WW2 unavoidable. That's not to say that they were all war mongers. Hitler was, yes, and thus set the stage in Europe for no compromise.

Hirohito needed to act to secure vital commodities that Japan lacked, from the rest of Asia. His back was to the wall and the Emperor (would never admit defeat)

Answeri have a short and simple answer to this: no in my opinion because of the treaty of Versailles. since Germany was definetely one of the main countries involved, they were looking for trouble and reprisal. they wanted to justify themselves in another war especially because of their humiliation in WWI. also, tensions had been enormous and hard to avoid. Answer

yes world war 2 was inevitale why because Germany was an imperialistic nation and its every growing expansions were unlikely to stop Hitler didnt start ww2 the allies did by forceing germanys economy to collapse and force the Germans to expand but i don't think that the Germans were at fault as there early expansions were considered apart of the German empire in ww1

Answer

Yes. World War II was going to happen. The Germans only option for economic uprising was war along with Japan, Itally and numerous other axis nations. The only real way to have stopped it other than changing history was to stop the political parties in all the axis power nations before they could start war. And even if that happened Stalin would have started World War II for world domination. Sorry to say it but WWII was a storm that could not be stopped.

How do you become a pro drifter?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Here is an excerpt and the site to give you some ideas:

This guide is provided to give you general information about drifting. It is DANGEROUS if not done in a supervised area with professionals and safety crews. We ask that you do not try this unless you are serious about competing and learning the art of drifting from highly skilled trainers. Basically we are telling you not to do this at home.

Drifting is the not so simple art of controlling your car around a corner. It doesn't sound very hard does it, but it is. Drifting requires a highly skilled driver with a high powered car which will have enough rear wheel power to slide sideways through corners at high speeds. Some compare it to Rally Racing, but instead of getting to the finish line first the judges decide on execution and style who the winner will be. All drifting competitions take place on closed courses where pros maneuver their cars into spectacular powerslides around several corners. In order to successfully execute this type of driving, a driver must figure out the balance of the cars engine power, gears, brakes and steering to go beyond the normal limits of the suspension and tire traction.

What is required to make your car a Drift car?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

It's Fairly Simple

* You must have a Rear Wheel Drive car to compete in any official Drift series

Optional, but makes it easier: * A manual transmission(thou not required, gives you more options in a slide, such as clutch kick, and shift lock) * A Limited Slip Diff (not required, but allows the car to slide a lot easier) * Good Suspension (not required, but helps control your slide) * Good Tires (the better, stickier the tire, the higher speed you can drift, for this it might be easier to learn in a small parking lot with crappier tires, thus keeping the slides at a lower speed)

What are the risks for drifting?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

in a proper organised event there are very little risks in drifting, the worst that could happen is you hit a few cones.

On public roads, you are very likely to hit people and cars, and also many many people have spun off and bent their wheels on a curb into their car, writing it off in the process

How do you drift on live for speed?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

To my knowledge (Assuming your playing the GC version) You hit one of the shoulder buttons (R I think, I havn't played in a while) and let go of 'A' because if you don't.... Then you won't. If you have Basic configuration on the gamecube then you press and hold (R-button) to drive and then for drift races the best thing to do is NEVER EVER let go of the accelerator, insted use the brake (L-button) and E-brake (A-button) to cut corners. keep goin' side to side on straightaways. as you approach a turn, let go of the gas hit E-brake real fast then floor it out of there but don't forget to keep "swinging" side to side to keep your drift goin'. remember you cannot keep a drift you started waaaay back there around the next corner, it's not possible. if you want to keep you drift points stop your drift before you get to the corner. trust me, it will save you alot grief, if you do what have said.

How do you drift in need for speed most wanted?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

You drift by following theese steps: # Steer in your desired direction # Lightly hit the brake # Pull hard on the E-Brake # Countersteer # Feather the gas (or you'll be cooked).

Practice theese direction, and you'll be a master drifter in no time. How i learned is if your in a manual transmission car is to: 1. Steer in the desired direction 2. Hit the brake 3. Pull up the handbrake 4. Press the clutch all the way in 5. Turn in the opposing direction 6. Put the handbrake back down 7. Let off the clutch and get back on the gas http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UyG0mWtcp6Y

How did drifting start?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Modern drifting started out as a racing technique popular in the All Japan Touring Car Championship races over 30 years ago. Motorcycling legend turned driver, Kunimitsu Takahashi, was the foremost creator of drifting techniques in the 1970s. He was famous for hitting the apex (the point where the car is closest to the inside of a turn) at high speed and then drifting through the corner, preserving a high exit speed. This earned him several championships and a legion of fans who enjoyed the spectacle of burning tires. The bias ply racing tires of the 1960s-1980s lent themselves to driving styles with a high slip angle. As professional racers in Japan drove this way, so did the street racers.

Drifting has evolved into a competitive sport where drivers compete in rear wheel drive cars to earn points from judges based on various factors. At the top levels of competition, especially the D1 Grand Prix from Japan and others in Malaysia, Australia, the Republic of Ireland, the United Kingdom, Formula-D in the United States, Drift Mania in Canada, and New Zealand, these drivers are able to keep their cars sliding for extended periods of time, often through several turns. Drifting is not recognized as a professional form of motorsport by the FIA (Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile), the motorsports governing body. * http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drifting_(motorsport) it actually started with people racing small cars and trucks on ice. people then started doing it in the summer with wet pavement and e-brakes. then it turned into a sport!
