No he hasn't. Sondheim is gay, but struggled for quite a long time with emotional attachment. He had a few brief relationships throughout the 70s and 80s, but his major relationship was with a younger composer/producer named Peter Jones. Sondheim in fact dedicated the score of "Passion" to Jones. Some sources seem to indicate that they are no longer together, but Jones did serve as producer on the recent albums "Sondheim Sings", which collect a lot of his own personal demo recordings. A good source for relationship information on Sondheim is Meryle Secrest's book "Sondheim: A Life". It's a bit tabloid-y at times, but it's the only book that really looks into his lovelife. Hope this helps.

A lot of people sing the star spangled banner. Considering it is our national anthem, it is sung nation-wide. There is no one person who made it famous save Francis Scott Key, the author of this beautiful poem. (It was written during the time of the revolutionary war.)
