I would say that the middie has to have the athleticism. They run the whole field.

I would say that it is either first base, pitcher, or catcher.
No would consider it more of an art then a sport, although Im sure it takes a bit of athleticism --- And personally I agree that it is an art, but it certainly does involve 'athleticism'. :)
Athleticism is the bodily performance of humans that is used as the criterion in most sports.
