Sports is related to types of government in the fact that for different types of government there are different sports played. Here in Amercia we play every sport their is to play. In different types of government like Africa they don't have courts to play Basketball, therefore, they play other sports such as soccer. Dr. Nathan M. One way the government contributes to sports is by using tax payer money for building massive sports arenas for particular teams when the team could afford to contribute or pay for the arenas. Another way is building roads and freeways to the arena and off ramps, again at tax payer expense. Providing police coverage during games is another. The teams also get tax breaks from the government.
