1) Runner Fanny Blankers-Koen of Netherlands won gold in 100 meter dash, 200 meter dash, 80 meter hurdles, and 4x100 meter relay at the 1948 Summer Games in London.
2) Gymnast Ágnes Keleti of Hungary won gold in floor exercise, uneven bars, balance beam, and team portable appartatus at the 1956 Summer Games in Melbourne.
3) Gymnast Larissa Latynina of USSR won gold in floor exercise (tied with Keleti), horse vault, individual all around, and team all around at the 1956 Summer Games in Melbourne.
4) Speed skater Lidiya Skoblikova of USSR won gold in 500 meter, 1000 meter, 1500 meter, and 3000 meter skates at the 1964 Winter Games in Innsbruck.
5) Gymnast Věra Čáslavská of Czechoslovakia won gold in floor exercise, horse vault, uneven bars, and individual all around at the 1968 Summer Games in Mexico City.
6) Swimmer Kornelia Ender of East Germany won gold in 100 meter freestyle, 200 meter freestyle, 100 meter butterfly, and 4x100 meter medley relay at the 1976 Summer Games in Montreal.
7) Gymnast Ecaterina Szabo of Romania won gold in floor exercise, horse vault, balance beam, and team all around at the 1984 Summer Games in Los Angeles.
8) Swimmer Kristin Otto of East Germany won gold in 50 meter freestyle, 100 meter freestyle, 4x100 meter freestyle relay, 100 meter backstroke, 100 meter butterfly, and 4x100 meter medley relay at the 1988 Summer Games in Seoul. Her 6 gold medals is the most won by a woman athlete at a single Olympic Games.
9) Swimmer Amy Van Dyken of the United States won gold in 50 meter freestyle, 4x100 meter freestyle relay, 100 meter butterfly, and 4x100 meter medley relay at the 1996 Summer Games in Atlanta.
