There usually are no height requirements. If you are shorter than it is easier for you to have beautiful partner lifts. If you are taller then your extensions have the potential to be breath taking. You just have to learn your body and figure out what you are best at.

I think the average height is between 5'3 and 5'7, but the height of a dancer does not have to be as exact as the height of say, a model. I do know that to be a rockette in NY you have to be exactly 5'7.

Its not actually called Ballet dancer rail. Its a 'Barre' [pronounced (bar)]. The height can vary to suit the dancers height. Generally around the 100cm mark.

It doesn't matter. I'm almost 6 feet and a ballerina. Yet the smallest girl in our school isn't 5 feet yet.
