The current Paralympic flag consists of 3 'agitos' (meaning 'I Move' in Latin) in red, blue and green, which are the colours most widely used in the world flags. The agitos encircle a centre point emphasising 'the role that the International Paralympic Committee has of bringing athletes from all corners of the world together and enabling them to compete'.

It also symbolises the Paralympic vision 'to enable Paralympic athletes to achieve sporting excellence and to inspire and excite the world'.

This version of the flag was first used in the closing ceremony of the Athens 2004 Paralympic games when it was handed over to Bejing. It was seen in 2003 on Paralympic publications and other products. It was first used in a full games in the 2006 Winter Paralympic games in Torino and has been used since.

There have been a number of various symbols used and others rejected for various reasons before this one was selected.

I answered this before I realised I could use my Facebook sign on, therefore it has been credited to an ID number instead of my Facebook name Suzi Dusk, I just wanted to clear this up and if it can be changed could someone let me know how to change it. Thanks
