Archery debuted at the 1900 Games in Paris. The International Olympic Committee recognizes official six events at those games. Unfortunately, I could not find the dates that these events were competed so I can not tell you who won the first gold medal. Gold medalists in archery at the 1900 Games are listed below. One of the five gentleman Listed was the first man to win a gold medal in archery: 1) 50 meter Au Cordon Doré - Henri Herouin, France

2) 33 meter Au Cordon Doré - Hubert van Innis, Belgium

3) 50 meter Au Chapelet - Eugene Mougin, France

4) 33 meter Au Chapelet - Hubert van Innis, Belgium

5) Sur la Perche à la Herse - Emmanuel Foulon, Belgium

6) Sur la Perche à la Pyramide - Emile Grumiaux, France
